Flood Support for Union Members

The flood support is for union member in the Abbotsford area that have been hit hard by the flooding this winter.  We have $500.00 per union member up to $20,000.00 in financial support available.  The support was initially launched in conjunction with the FVLC, and we have received a few applications, however it has been suggested that many of our labour council delegates may live in that area.  Attached is a brief description as well as an application form.  We do ask if members have been evacuated, however it is not a criteria to have been evacuated.  We are using it only as priority, if we receive an overwhelming amount of applications, then we will assist the members that have been evacuated or lost housing first.  We are also asking for verification of union membership from a union representative or executive, this is not to verify that the member was evacuated or suffered any loss, just to verify that the person is indeed a union member.
