The Network to Eliminate Violence in Relationships (NEVR) is offering free, 3-hour long training every Wednesday and Friday in June, and every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in July.
Workshops will be held 9 AM – 12 PM, and 1 PM – 4PM. You may register yourself or a group.
In this training participants will learn how to recognize signs of abuse, how to safely intervene and support the survivor, and how to connect the survivor to resources. NEVR will train any community member or organization that would like to learn these essential skills. Rates of relationship violence are high and rates of reporting are low; many survivors suffer alone in silence, and never reach out to services or report to police. For this reason, it is essential for us all to have the tools to support survivors in their time of need. Everyone deserves to be safe and you can help!
Please email NEVR@kpu.ca to register, request group training or more information.
