Multicultural Calendar
KPU faculty can now download a fantastic new resource—the Multicultural Calendar—directly into their Outlook calendars!
The Multicultural Calendar is produced by a non-profit, Toronto-based organization called Creative Cultural Communications with the intent of celebrating diversity and raising awareness of important religious and national holidays, festivals, and observance days in Canada and across the globe. Key features include:
- Accurate Dates with explanations for each of the world’s twelve major religions and the cultural festivals of most ethnic groups in North America
- Religions include Bahai, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Islam, Jain, Jewish, Shinto, Sikh, Wicca, Zoroastrian, and various Indigenous Peoples traditions
- Cultural Festivals of over 140 countries including Canada, USA, India, Pakistan, Brazil, China, Japan, Philippines, Australia, United Kingdom, Egypt and many more
- Heritage Months for USA, Canada and UK
- United Nations international days and months of recognition.
