Here is an update regarding the ongoing dispute between BC General Employees’ Union and the Government of the Province of BC, represented by the BC Public Service Agency.

In addition to the overtime ban, targeted job action at BC Liquor Distribution Branch distribution and wholesale centres remains in effect.

Picket lines are up at the following location in our region:
 *   Delta Distribution Centre (DDC) – 7003 72nd Street, Delta, B.C.

Main issues: Wages, specifically cost of living protections, are the main outstanding issue.
 
Support requested:  Affiliates are asked to show solidarity by spending time on the picket line with striking members. This picket line is up 24/7.
