Women in Leadership Course
Shared on behalf of the CLC
The Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) is hosting a Women in Leadership course in the Lower Mainland. The course will take place Monday, October 16 to Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the MoveUP office (#301-4501 Kingsway, Burnaby, B.C.).
Traditionally, Women in Leadership is offered at the CLC Pacific Region Winter School. However, due to its popularity, we have decided to offer a second session locally. We hope that by doing so, we can remove possible barriers and provide an opportunity for those who are otherwise unable to attend the course in Harrison.
This course is open to any leaders who identify as women or who are gender diverse, including non-binary, gender fluid, gender-nonconforming or genderqueer leaders. This course offers an opportunity to develop and enhance their leadership skills and knowledge in a variety of current and emerging labour issues. A major component of the course will cover communication and motivational skills that are important for women activists.
There are 20 spots available for our affiliates and their members. The cost for registration is $250 per person, which includes lunch.
To register, visit: https://actionnetwork.org/ticketed_events/women-in-leadership-training.
The deadline for registration is Friday, September 29, 2023. We expect this course to fill up quickly and encourage affiliates to register early. Attached is a poster, which can be circulated amongst your membership.
