Board Meeting – Register by tomorrow!

Dear colleagues,

On March 26, KPU’s Board of Governors will be asked to pass the university budget, a budget that cuts faculty positions. 

The administration continues to frame these layoffs as inevitable, due to the changes in international student enrolment and government policy. But they are NOT inevitable – they are a choice.  

We are asking every faculty member to REGISTER to attend the online Board meeting, to show the university and the Board of Governors that we do not accept these faculty layoffs. 

Email boardofgovernors@kpu.ca and ask to attend the March 26 Board of Governors meeting. You must do so by Tuesday, March 18.  

Here is what I put in the body of my email:

Hi,

I am registering to attend the March Board meeting.

Please forward me the link for the meeting.

I also would like to request that this meeting be held in person rather than remotely.

Register! Attend if you can! Join your colleagues in showing the university that they must choose other options to balance the university budget.
