KFA Motion on Students’ Right to Protest

The Kwantlen Faculty Association (KFA) affirms its commitment to democratic values and academic freedom. At a recent Executive meeting, the KFA passed the following motion in support of students’ rights to peaceful protest.
Motion: That the KFA supports students’ rights to peaceful protests in alignment with democratic values and academic freedom.
As faculty, we recognize the importance of open dialogue, civic engagement, and the right to express diverse perspectives in a respectful and non-violent manner.
